Clinical Added to Appointment Right-Click Menu

You can now access Clinical directly from the right-click menu on a patient’s appointment.
Selecting Clinical will take you straight to the Clinical tab within the patient’s file, making it faster and easier to view and update clinical notes without extra navigation.

Referral Expired Warning

When cutting and pasting an appointment to a new date/time, FYDO will now warn you if the referral attached to the appointment is expired for the new appointment date/time. This helps prevent booking issues and ensures referrals remain valid before the appointment is saved.

New Patient Summary Panel Across Clinical Screens

A new Patient Summary Panel has been added across all screens under the Clinic tab within a patient file. This panel provides quick visibility of key patient details, including demographics, allergies, alerts, notes, and document alerts. This ensures important information is easily accessible at all times.

OEC Description Enhancement

When running an OEC check, the Documents section previously displayed only “OEC” as the description. It will now also display the associated item number, making it easier to navigate the documents and quickly locate the correct file.

Other Services Invoice Improvement

FYDO has enhanced the Create Other Services Invoice feature. Users can now append charges to an existing invoice rather than creating a new one each time. This improvement is particularly beneficial for facilities that add services throughout a patient’s stay, as it allows all charges to be consolidated into a single invoice at discharge instead of generating multiple invoices.

Outstanding Balance Alert

Previously, when the outstanding balance was configured under Settings > System Configuration, a pop-up alert informed staff of any outstanding balance during the booking process.

This same alert has now been implemented during patient admission, ensuring that any outstanding balance from a previous admission is not overlooked.

New Body Stats Tokens

FYDO has introduced four new tokens related to the patient’s Body Stats:

• Patient’s BMI
• Patient’s Height
• Patient’s Weight
• Patient’s Body Stats Date

These tokens have been added to the Tokens Wiki in Tokens – Hospital under Episode Appointment Details.

Cluster Coding

Fydo has implemented a drop-down box to accommodate the Diagnosis Cluster Code ID when coding. It will be mandatory to assign a DCID code from 1st July 2026. Please see link below for more information.

New Tokens

FYDO has introduced two new tokens related to My Health Record (MHR):

• Episode MHR Consent
• Patient MHR Consent

These tokens have been added to the Tokens Wiki under Tokens – Hospital and Tokens – Patients.

Invoice Export Report Additions

FYDO has added two new columns to the Invoice Export Report. The new columns are:

• Health Fund Membership Number
• DRG

In the exported file, the Health Fund Membership Number will appear in column K, and the DRG will appear in column AR.

Additional fields for Procedure defaults

Facilities can now enter Fasting Food and Fasting Fluid details for a specific Procedure as a default, removing the need to re-enter this information on the Edit Appointment screen. These details will automatically populate whenever the procedure is selected.

Unbilled Revenue Report Addition

Two new columns have been added to the Unbilled Revenue Report relating to GST:

• Inv (Gross) was renamed
• GST is now displayed
• Inv (Net) is now displayed

These enhancements were introduced in response to increased interest from facilities seeking clearer visibility of revenue figures both including and excluding GST. We’ve also improved the report’s performance for greater efficiency and updated the overall layout to enhance readability.

Additional Print List Option

FYDO now includes a new feature that allows users to print the Theatre List in Booking Time order. This enhancement is designed to improve workflow efficiency and provide clearer visibility of scheduled bookings.

Bed Tracker Shortcut

In Bed Tracker, we have introduced a new shortcut option that allows users to navigate directly to the Theatre screen by right-clicking on a patient. This enhancement is intended to streamline workflow and improve ease of access.

Qld Public Patients Improvement

When admitting a patient, updating the ‘Transferred From’ field will automatically populate the relevant hospital information for a contracted patient. However, contract types can vary between hospitals and between different contracts.

To accommodate this, we have added a new Contract Type section under Settings > Hospitals. When setting up a new local contracting hospital, you can now manually select the appropriate contract type, ensuring the system populates accurate for every admission and populates the correct data.

Documents Enhancement

Users are now able to tick Checklist items as they import or edit Documents that have been loaded. This feature allows users to easily tick certain boxes, e.g. IFC Signed as they are uploading the signed IFC, instead of then having to go back to the appointments screen to check the item.

Procedure Default Enhancements

Facilities can now also set a default Secondary Anesthetic Type for any procedure added in Settings > Procedures, alongside all the other defaultable fields. This enhancement makes it even easier and faster to book patients into FYDO.

Report Enhancement

FYDO has introduced an enhancement across multiple reports, adding a date range dropdown that allows users to select a specific reporting period. This functionality mirrors the feature recently implemented in the Episode Report.

The enhanced date selection is now available for the following reports:

• Revenue Report
• Other Services Revenue
• Unbilled Revenue Report
• Trial Balance
• Payments

Medical Record Retention Improvement

FYDO has introduced a new feature that enables facilities to easily identify which files are eligible for culling within a specific month. Users can now filter the Medical Retention Report based on Admission Date, or Discharged Date, based on their requirements. Allowing them to streamlining record management and retention processes.

Unbilled Revenue Report Enhancement

FYDO has enhanced the Unbilled Revenue Report. The MBS Item Numbers, from the first theatre visit, are now included in the Excel Raw Data export for greater transparency and ease of analysis. This new information will appear starting in column AD when run in summary and in column AE when run in detailed.

Appointment Report Enhancement

The Appointment Report now includes the Day Category classification in the Excel Raw Data export. This new field will appear in column AR when run in summary and detailed and will assist facilities in determining if the episode was a Day Only (D/O) or In-Patient (I/P) admission.

Theatre Roster Improvements

FYDO has made a significant enhancement to the Theatre Roster feature. Previously, users could create recurring theatre lists but were advised to limit them to three months, as bulk editing and deleting were not available. We’re pleased to announce that these capabilities have now been added. Users can now bulk edit and bulk delete theatre lists, saving valuable time and reducing the need for individual adjustments.

As long as the Repeat function is used when making the initial booking, the doctors’ sessions will be linked and can then be amended together. To utilise this function:

1. Click on the 3 dots
2. Select which action – Edit or Delete
3. Pick from the x3 options

Theatre Roster Report Addition

Two new columns have been added to the Theatre Roster report relating to Revenue:

• Rev incl OS – Revenue Including Other Services Revenue
• OS Rev – Other Services Only Revenue

These additions were made in response to growing interest from facilities in understanding their revenue breakdowns. This enhancement allows for better analysis of how profitable each doctor is during their Theatre Sessions/Rosters.

Processing and Payments Enhancements

A new enhancement has been added to the Processing and Payments tab under Payments (Hospital). The Invoice # now functions as a hyperlink, providing quick access to the patient’s episode as required.

Additionally, the Processing IHC screen has been rearranged to allow for a wider and more readable Explanation column. Additionally, you can now hover over the explanation to view the full text.

Trial Balance Improvement

The Trial Balance report has been enhanced to include GST in the Billings, Payments, and Adjustments columns. This update allows users to view the total balance including GST, or to isolate and review GST amounts independently.

Bed Tracker Additions

FYDO has introduced a new functionality that allows users to generate the Print Handover Report by doctor. Additionally, under Order, an option has been added to print the report by Admission Date.
