FYDO Hospital Update – 31/10/2025
Theatre Roster Improvements
FYDO has made a significant enhancement to the Theatre Roster feature. Previously, users could create recurring theatre lists but were advised to limit them to three months, as bulk editing and deleting were not available. We’re pleased to announce that these capabilities have now been added. Users can now bulk edit and bulk delete theatre lists, saving valuable time and reducing the need for individual adjustments.
As long as the Repeat function is used when making the initial booking, the doctors’ sessions will be linked and can then be amended together. To utilise this function:
Click on the 3 dots
Select which action – Edit or Delete
Pick from the x3 options
Theatre Roster Report Addition
Two new columns have been added to the Theatre Roster report relating to Revenue:
Rev incl OS – Revenue Including Other Services Revenue
OS Rev – Other Services Only Revenue
These additions were made in response to growing interest from facilities in understanding their revenue breakdowns. This enhancement allows for better analysis of how profitable each doctor is during their Theatre Sessions/Rosters.
Processing and Payments Enhancements
A new enhancement has been added to the Processing and Payments tab under Payments (Hospital). The Invoice # now functions as a hyperlink, providing quick access to the patient’s episode as required.
Additionally, the Processing IHC screen has been rearranged to allow for a wider and more readable Explanation column. Additionally, you can now hover over the explanation to view the full text.
Trial Balance Improvement
The Trial Balance report has been enhanced to include GST in the Billings, Payments, and Adjustments columns. This update allows users to view the total balance including GST, or to isolate and review GST amounts independently.
Bed Tracker Additions
FYDO has introduced a new functionality that allows users to generate the Print Handover Report by doctor. Additionally, under Order, an option has been added to print the report by Admission Date.
FYDO Hospital Update – 09/10/2025
Additions to the Header
FYDO has now implemented the display of ‘Procedure Notes’ and ‘Other Notes’ in the top header across all screens, providing a permanent and easily accessible solution for viewing across multiple interfaces.
Improvement to QLD State Specific Data
FYDO has been updated to automatically populate the insurance status for public patients in QLD, as shown on the Admission screen below. This enhancement supports improved accuracy and efficiency in data extract submissions.
FYDO Clinic Update – 02/10/2025
Addition to Doctors
In addition to a provider number, doctors are also assigned a prescriber number. Facilities can now record this information directly within the doctor’s profile, eliminating the need for separate spreadsheets. This enhancement will also support future initiatives related to clinic prescribing.

Enhancement to Episode Stats Export
FYDO has added the Referring Doctor’s Specialty to the Reports > Episode Stats > Excel – Raw Data Export, enabling facilities to utilise this information more effectively. The information is shown in column BO of the export file.
FYDO Clinic Update – 25/09/2025
New Waitlist Feature
When adding a patient to the waitlist, you’ll now see a new tick box option: “Transfer notes into appointment.”
If this box is ticked, any notes you enter at the time of adding the patient to the waitlist will automatically carry across to the patients appointment when made from the waitlist.
A new improvement has been made regarding the addition of certificate reasons in patient records. In the Settings tab, you will now find an option for Certificates, where you can define and add your certificate reasons.
Once the reasons are added, you will have the option to select from a drop-down menu when adding a certificate to the patient’s file. While this new feature provides a pre-defined selection, please note that you will still have the flexibility to free-type any additional text as needed.
Update to Patient Alerts
FYDO has now aligned the functionality of Patient Alerts with that of Patient Allergies. When “NIL” is entered in the Patient Alerts section, it will no longer be displayed on the appointment screen, as it is deemed not applicable.
Episode Stats Date Range Addition
A new feature has been added to the Episode Stats section under Reports. When you click on the date, FYDO now provides the option to search data from specific time periods via a button. The available time periods include:
Current Week
Current Month
Previous Week
Previous Month
Current Quarter
Current Year
Previous 3 Months
Previous Quarter
This enhancement is designed to streamline your reporting process and make it easier to retrieve data for the desired time frames.
Change in Episode Stats Re-Admission
Episode stats can now show re-admission within a stipulated number of days.
Enhancement to Medical Retention Record
In the Medical Retention Record section under Reports, a new column has been added to the export functionality. When exporting this document to Excel, you will now see a dedicated column displaying the procedure notes.
FYDO Hospital Update – 11/09/2025
Upcoming Layout Change
As part of the upcoming major update scheduled for 21 September 2025, the Appointment Screen will feature a refreshed layout. A preview of the new design is shown below.

FYDO has introduced a new feature within the Theatre Screen that allows users to quickly view procedure notes. As shown in the image below, a yellow “Show Proc Notes” icon has been added. By hovering over this icon, you can see a preview of the notes entered for the procedure.
This enhancement is particularly valuable in facilities where nurses and doctors primarily rely on the Theatre Screen, as it eliminates the need to refer back to the printed list, providing faster and more efficient access to critical information.
New Token
FYDO now includes a token for Gender. Please see below for details on the newly added token.
Gender ID = <<patGender2>> Gender Description = <<patGender2Desc>>
For a complete list of available Patient tokens, please refer to the FYDO Wiki Manual via the link below:

Print List Enhancement
FYDO has introduced a new tick-box option when printing lists, allowing you to generate lists exclusively for patients with Food Instructions entered to identify special dietary requirements. This enhancement provides a more efficient way to identify and manage patients’ specific needs.
FYDO Hospital Update – 28/08/2025
Billing Status Addition
FYDO has introduced a new ordering option within the Billing Status Report. When the Report Type is set to Show Not Billed Only, a new Order By field will become available. This feature functions identically to the Order By option in the Incomplete Report and will default to Alphabetical ordering.
New Option in Casebase Settings
FYDO has introduced a new column titled Ignore Step Down in the Settings > Health Fund Fees > CasebaseFees tab. This column is a tick box, similar in function to the existing GST column.
This enhancement addresses scenarios where certain facilities require the Procedure Only fee to be calculated at 100%, even when the item is listed as a secondary or subsequent procedure. However, as this rule does not apply universally to all item numbers within the Casebase list, some of which still require percentage-based step downs. The new tick box provides the flexibility to manage these exceptions on an item-by-item basis.
If you need to upload the Casebase import file, the new field will be located in column J. Additionally, both the PDF and Excel spreadsheet outputs have been updated to include the ‘Ignore Step Down’ column.
